The Türkiye's 2053 Long Term Climate Strategy, published by the Republic of Türkiye in November, 2024, outlines the nation's comprehensive approach to achieving its Net Zero Emission Target by 2053. Coordinated by the Ministry of Environment, Urbanization, and Climate Change, along with the Presidency of Strategy and Budget, the strategy integrates input from over 6,000 participants across 175 stakeholder institutions. It includes 89 strategies across 18 sectors and 4 cross-cutting areas, focusing on climate change mitigation and adaptation, technology development, just transition, and climate finance. The report emphasizes the importance of sectoral strategies in energy, manufacturing, buildings, transportation, waste, agriculture, and land use, aiming to harmonize climate targets with economic growth and sustainable development.
