The European Commission’s press release outlines the updated industrial strategy aimed at strengthening the EU’s Single Market and supporting economic recovery post-COVID-19.

The updated strategy reaffirms the priorities set out in the original 2020 Communication, while incorporating lessons learned from the COVID-19 crisis. It aims to boost recovery, enhance the EU’s open strategic autonomy, and accelerate the green and digital transitions. It focuses on such areas as strengthening Single Market resilience, addressing strategic dependencies, accelerating green and digital transitions, supporting SMEs, and ensuring fair competition.

The updated strategy underscores the need for continuous efforts to fulfill these priorities. Additionally, it calls for collaboration among EU member states, industries, and citizens to achieve these goals.
