Tourism4SDG, co-financed by the EU under the Interreg Europe Programme 2021-2027, targets the enhancement of tourism policy instruments (PI) to align with the Sustainable Development Goals (SDGs). Recognizing the gaps in current PI and the need for measurable sustainability outcomes, the project initiates a four-year interregional learning process to bolster the capacity of partners in measuring tourism sustainability. By integrating monitoring methodologies and tools, Tourism4SDG aims to facilitate strategic decision-making for sustainable tourism across eight EU countries, fostering collaboration and producing comparable data to monitor sustainability impacts effectively. Through this concerted effort, the project endeavors to ensure that tourism development aligns with SDGs, promoting long-term sustainability in participating regions.
