The deployEMDS project, co-funded by the EU Digital Europe Programme, aims to create a common European mobility data space (EMDS) to facilitate efficient, safe, sustainable, and resilient transportation. This initiative supports the European data strategy and the Sustainable and Smart Mobility Strategy by enabling data sharing and reuse for better multimodal mobility and traffic management. The project focuses on real-life implementation in nine cities and regions, including Barcelona, Milan, and Budapest. By developing a decentralized technical infrastructure and common governance mechanisms, deployEMDS seeks to enhance data interoperability, sovereignty, and accessibility, ultimately contributing to the digital and green transformation of the European mobility sector.
