The Resilient Tourism Project, supported by Innosuisse (Swiss Innovation Agency), was designed to drive systemic change in Switzerland's travel industry through digital transformation. Running from 1 June 2022 to 31 May 2026, the project involves six research institutions collaborating with national, regional, and local destinations, hotels, and private sector partners to create an open-source data infrastructure that supports value creation in SMEs within the industry. It aims to enhance Switzerland's tourism sector by creating a National Data Infrastructure for Tourism (NaDIT), developing innovative services, designing resilient systems aligned with UN SDGs, and leveraging shared knowledge to boost SME competitiveness.
