The SHIFT project, funded by the Horizon Europe programme, aims is to enhance the impact of cultural heritage assets. Coordinated by SIMAVI, it focuses on improving their accessibility and usability through better content representation, enriched user experiences, inclusive design and engaging business models. Running from October, 2022, to September, 2025, the project supports the adoption of digital transformation strategies within the creative and cultural industries by developing advanced technological tools, including artificial intelligence, machine learning and haptics interfaces. The expected outcomes include increased appeal of historical artefacts, improved accessibility for all citizens and stimulated growth within cultural heritage institutions.
