Launched in January 2023 and co-funded by the European Union, the project Towards SUStainability and resilient scenarios for tourism SMEs in RUral & Remote Areas (SUSRUR) aims to bolster SMEs in five rural and remote European regions. By promoting sustainability and innovative practices, SUSRUR seeks to enhance their competitiveness in a post-COVID-19 landscape, fostering awareness and capacity for the twin green and digital transitions. Through two Open Calls, eligible rural SMEs can access capacity-building opportunities, develop new skills, and implement innovative solutions. The project will implement a monitoring framework and accelerator program tailored to the specific needs of rural SMEs, with a focus on sustainability. Furthermore, it will promote stakeholder engagement and clustering activities to facilitate interregional knowledge exchange, replication of best practices, and peer learning.
