The UPPER project (Unleashing the Potential of Public Transport in Europe) is a Horizon Europe initiative running from January 2023 to December 2026. Its goal is to enhance public transport's role as the foundation of sustainable and innovative mobility. Coordinated by the International Association of Public Transport (UITP), the project aims to implement over 80 measures and apply five innovation models in 10 cities and regions across Europe. The objective is to boost public transport usage by more than 30% and improve user satisfaction by over 25%.
