Visas Iespējas was founded with a clear mission: to ensure that every young person in Latvia can find and seize the right opportunities to fulfil their potential. The organisation maintains an online platform that curates offers from youth organisations and partners worldwide, providing easy access to internships, training courses, volunteering projects, and exchange programmes.
Beyond simply gathering information, Visas Iespējas actively designs and delivers its own projects to address pressing labour market and social inclusion challenges. One such initiative, “From A to Z Design Process to Darbe App Development,” is a collaboration with Estonian IT company Mobi Lab to create an innovative recruitment application that facilitates direct matches between job seekers and employers.
Another example, “Digital Works for Youth,” is an ESF+ project run jointly with a Romanian partner to support 600 young people from vulnerable groups, offering mentoring, training, and fast-track job interviews, with a goal of placing at least 120 into employment.
Operating under Latvian social enterprise legislation, Visas Iespējas reinvests profits into its mission and sustains activities without special legal privileges, relying on diverse funding streams including Erasmus+ and the European Social Fund. Its work has established it as a recognised force in youth empowerment, with a reach that spans both rural and urban areas and a model that could be replicated elsewhere.
