Founded to restructure local food and non-food supply chains, izipizi.lv has developed a delivery model rooted in community participation and sustainability. Its platform enables individuals to become couriers using their own vehicles, while also partnering with certified freight companies for larger shipments, ensuring flexibility and efficiency. A key focus is supporting Latvian farmers and small producers by expanding their market reach and reducing logistical barriers.
Deliveries, particularly of perishable goods, are carried out under strict temperature control and the enterprise is investing in self-service parcel infrastructure to maintain freshness from producer to consumer.
By streamlining the supply chain, izipizi.lv allows farmers to focus on production while benefiting from reduced delivery costs and increased direct sales. The initiative not only strengthens the local economy but also aligns with the EU’s “farm to fork” strategy under the European Green Deal, aiming for a sustainable food system that reduces waste and carbon emissions.
Future plans include expanding the food parcel network through franchising, allowing more entrepreneurs to join the effort. With its emphasis on shared benefit, environmental responsibility and innovation, izipizi.lv is building a resilient logistics ecosystem that connects people, products, and places across Latvia.
