The SEE BRIDGE (Social Economy Enterprises in the Bridge Towards Green Transition) project has announced an open call to support Social Economy Small and Medium-sized Enterprises (SMEs) operating within energy-intensive industries or their associated value chains, including sectors like aluminium, steel, and iron.

The SEE BRIDGE project is a European initiative designed to help social economy enterprises and businesses that prioritise social and environmental impact alongside economic sustainability navigate the transition to greener and more energy-efficient practices. This initiative aims to enhance SMEs’ capacity to transition towards more resource-efficient and energy-saving operations, aligning with the Carbon Border Adjustment Mechanism (CBAM) legislation.

The call offers financial support of either EUR 2,000 or EUR 4,000, depending on the chosen activities. Eligible activities include business support services, consulting services for certification or labelling, and training sessions on CBAM or topics related to the green and digital transition. Applicants can select one or more of these activities within the specified funding limits.
To be eligible, applicants must be SE SMEs engaged in energy-intensive industries or their upstream or downstream value chains. The application deadline is 13 March 2025, 17:00 CET.
