In June 2024, we launched the My environment, my health programme (Mon environment, ma santé), comprising 7 sessions for the over-60s. Over 2,800 people took part, with an overall satisfaction rate of over 95%. Given its very positive outcome, the program will be rolled out again in 2025: we expect it to reach out to around 3000 participants.

The objective of My environment, my health is raising awareness on the link between healthy and active ageing and the environment.  The programme targets low-income seniors aged 60 to 80, with a view to reducing social and health inequalities. Around 1.5 million Assurance Retraite pensioners will be invited to sign up for the programme online, via an e-mail campaign.

Over a period of 7 weeks, participants will be able to adopt simple solutions and preserve their well-being by learning about the main keys to limiting the impact of pollutants in their daily lives.  The topics addressed during the 7 sessions include :
•    ‘Healthier air in my home’
•    ‘Smart cleaning with more natural products’
•    ‘Healthy, sustainable cooking’
•    ‘Healthy products in my bathroom’
•    ‘Composting and limiting the use of pesticides’
•    ‘Tiger mosquitoes: tips on how to protect yourself’
•    ‘All you need to know about ticks’

About Mutualité Française :
A major player in the social economy, Mutualité Française, represents nearly 500 mutuals providing social protection to 32 million French people (nearly the half of France’s population). Mutuals reimburse all or part of their members' healthcare expenses, complementing the compulsory social security scheme. They offer provident insurance, long-term care, retirement and death cover. They also manage a wide range of care and services, and offer numerous prevention initiatives across the country. Mutuals are not-for-profit companies, governed by the Mutuality Code (“Code de la Mutualité”): with no shareholder remuneration, their surpluses are reinvested for the benefit of their members to innovate, develop prevention initiatives or improve the quality of services. Proximity is part of mutuals’ DNA : deeply rooted at regional level, Mutualité Française’s mutuals act to provide access to health and to social services in the whole French territory, in particular in the most vulnerable areas, addressing the consequences of medical deserts.
