Sweco completed their report Statistical Description of the Tourism Industry - Foreign-born Workers on behalf of Tillväxtverket, the Swedish Agency for Economic and Regional Growth in 2023, with the aim of augmenting the labour supply within the tourism domain. The report provides an introductory description of current employment in the sector using registry data. Notably, foreign-born individuals are more frequently employed in tourism than those born in Sweden, and they are less likely to work in other service sectors or general business. This analysis advances knowledge of worker dynamics and industry-wide sustainable practices (The original piece available only in Swedish).
