The report “Statistical description of the hospitality industry - Those who stay and those who leave the industry” was provided by Sweco on behalf of Tillväxtverket (the Swedish Agency for Economic and Regional Growth) in 2023. The study aims to describe which groups leave the tourism industry and what they choose to pursue instead. Using registry data, the report followed individuals employed in the tourism industry in 2016 and tracked their employment status three years later, in 2019. This analysis contributes to understanding workforce dynamics and sustainable practices within the tourism sector (The original piece available only in Swedish).
