A new call for tenders has been published by the European Commission, Directorate-General for Internal Market, Industry, Entrepreneurship and SMEs (DG GROW). The call focuses on providing technical assistance to support the implementation of the Ecodesign for Sustainable Products Regulation (ESPR), particularly by strengthening stakeholder participation in the textiles and furniture sectors. The selected contractor will act as a facilitator and helpdesk, engaging especially with SMEs and micro-enterprises to ensure their meaningful involvement in Ecodesign-related consultations and preparatory studies.
The opportunity is aimed at organisations with the capacity to deliver research, stakeholder engagement, and consultancy services. The contractor will be responsible for identifying and engaging SMEs, explaining ESPR requirements and implications, and supporting their participation in the Ecodesign Forum and related stakeholder meetings. This includes gathering inputs, synthesising feedback into position papers, and ensuring broad geographical and sectoral representation across the EU. The contract will run for a maximum duration of 36 months, with activities carried out remotely, without the need for physical attendance at meetings.
The call is currently open for electronic submission, with a deadline of 4 May 2026 (16:00 CEST). It follows an open procedure and will be awarded based on the best price-quality ratio.
Interested organisations are encouraged to review the full tender documentation and submission requirements on the EU Funding & Tenders Portal.
