The TEX-DAN is a transnational initiative developed under the Interreg Danube Region Programme, focused on advancing circularity in textile and fashion value chains. It brings together partners from multiple countries to strengthen collaboration between industry, research organisations and policymakers, with the aim of improving sustainability and competitiveness across the regional textile ecosystem.

The initiative supports knowledge exchange and cooperation through a range of activities, including stakeholder workshops, study visits, pilot actions and joint research. It focuses on key areas such as circular design, bio-based textiles, sustainable production processes and textile recycling, while also promoting the uptake of innovative technologies and business models among SMEs.

Through its transnational approach, TEX-DAN contributes to the development of regional circular textile value chains and supports policy alignment across participating countries. The project also aims to establish long-term collaboration structures, including a Danube circular textile cluster and shared platforms to sustain cooperation beyond the project’s duration.
