The European Circular Economy Stakeholder Platform (ECESP) Secretariat received an overwhelming number of applications after launching its call in June 2025. A selection board reviewed the submissions to ensure a balanced representation of stakeholder types, sectors and regions.

The newly appointed coordination group, jointly announced by the European Commission and the European Economic and Social Committee, which will consist of 24 organisations who will act as ambassadors of the platform. Over the next 2½ years, they will collaborate with the steering group to advance Europe’s circular economy and bioeconomy agenda.
