Reju has chosen Chemelot Industrial Park (NL) as the site of its first large-scale textile regeneration facility, capable of processing 300 million items per year and producing 50,000 tonnes of recycled polyester feedstock. The project, following a pilot in Frankfurt, is pending final approval by parent company Technip Energies.

Reju, a textile-to-textile regeneration company, has confirmed that its first industrial-scale facility, Regeneration Hub One, will be built at Chemelot Industrial Park in Sittard-Geleen, the Netherlands.
The facility is planned to process the equivalent of 300 million textile items annually, producing 50,000 tonnes of recycled BHET (rBHET) each year. This output can be transformed into recycled polyester with an estimated 50% lower carbon footprint than virgin polyester.
The decision follows the operation of Reju’s pilot plant, Regeneration Hub Zero, which opened in Frankfurt in October 2024. According to the company, the Chemelot site was selected for its industrial infrastructure and potential synergies with existing chemical operations.
Reju has also established partnerships across North America and Europe to strengthen feedstock supply and traceability, including collaborations with Goodwill, Waste Management, Nouvelles Fibres Textiles, Cibutex, and Rematrix.
A final investment decision will be taken by Reju’s parent company, Technip Energies.
