The Sustainable Touristic Routes project represents a collaborative effort to enhance sustainable tourism within the cross-border regions of Tuscany, Liguria, PACA, Corsica, and Sardinia. By integrating soft mobility solutions and promoting intermodal transport, the project aims to create a socio-economic uplift for the entire area. It focuses on developing a network of sustainable tourist routes that facilitate cycling and hiking, capitalizing on the rich cultural, archaeological, and natural heritage of the participating regions. The project outlines a comprehensive approach, starting with a feasibility study to identify optimal itineraries and moving towards the creation of technical documents that set standards for these routes. It includes joint promotional actions to attract tourists year-round, supported by a unified management strategy that involves agreements and integrated plans among local stakeholders.
