In 2022, Croatian citizens spent over EUR 1.5 billion on trips, with 56.8% of that expenditure occurring within Croatia. When traveling abroad, transportation accounted for 30.2% of their total expenses during overnight stays. Conversely, while traveling within Croatia, citizens primarily allocated their funds to accommodations (36.5%). This trend remained consistent compared to 2019.
