In 2023, the Central Statistical Office of Latvia reported that out of 224 hotels, the majority (56.7%) were uncategorized. Hotels with 4-star and 3-star ratings each accounted for 17.9%, while 5-star hotels consistently made up 6.3%. Hotels with 1 or 2 stars represented only 1.3%. Since 2019, the total number of hotels has decreased by 4.3%. The total bed capacity in 2023 was 22,453, with 4-star hotels having the highest share at 36.9%. Similarly, 4-star hotels saw the highest demand, with 42.1% of all arrivals.
