The data shows a notable rebound in Poland’s tourism industry following the disruption of 2020. Although the overall market value decreased from EUR 37.5 bn in 2019 to EUR 31.6 bn in 2022 (CARC –5.5%), the sector is regaining momentum. International tourist arrivals grew by 21.7% year‑on‑year, reaching 13.9 million visitors in 2022, with Germany accounting for 54.9% of inbound tourism and Ukraine 22.6%. Tourism receipts rose to EUR 11.4 bn, reflecting a 58.3% increase compared to 2020.

Poland continues to attract a broad range of travellers thanks to its 13 UNESCO World Heritage sites, diverse cultural and religious tourism, vibrant cities, and growing event‑driven promotion efforts, including major sports and cultural events. In 2022, the food service sector represented the largest share of the tourism industry’s value (EUR 13.1 bn), followed by the passenger rail segment (EUR 6.0 bn). Together, these trends position Poland as a leading tourism destination in Central and Eastern Europe.
