According to the Statistical Office of the Republic of Slovenia, tourist arrivals reached approximately 1.16 million in July 2026, up 10.6% year-on-year, the highest level since August 2025. Foreign arrivals rose 10.9% to around 1.01 million, led by visitors from Czechia (24.0% of foreign arrivals), Poland (18.5%), Germany (14.0%), Hungary (11.0%) and the Netherlands (5.2%), while domestic arrivals grew 8.9% to roughly 149,000. Overnight stays rose 8.9% to about 3.26 million, with mountain resorts drawing the largest share (13.8%), ahead of other municipalities (9.4%), urban municipalities (10.5%) and the capital, Ljubljana (7.5%). For the first seven months of 2026, arrivals rose 6.6% to 4.1 million and overnight stays rose 6.6% to 10.5 million, with Polish (+21%) and Czech (+20%) visitor numbers growing fastest, often travelling by road to destinations such as Kranjska Gora, Radovljica and Piran.
