In May 2024, the Netherlands saw a significant influx of visitors, welcoming 5.5 million guests—a 30.2% increase compared to May 2019. Throughout 2023, the country hosted 49.4 million guests, a 7.6% rise from 2019. Of these visitors, 41.1% were international travelers, while 58.9% were domestic, closely mirroring the pre-pandemic proportions of 43.8% foreign and 56.1% domestic tourists.
