In 2023, Cyprus welcomed 3.9 million inbound tourists. Of these, over 80.3% visited for holidays and leisure, 13.3% for visiting friends and relatives, and 6.3% for business purposes. Greece residents led in choosing Cyprus for business trips, while the United Kingdom was the main source of visitors for both visiting friends and relatives and holidays and leisure. In comparison, 2019 saw 4.0 million inbound tourists, with 81.9% visiting for holidays and leisure, 11.8% for visiting friends and relatives, and 6.3% for business needs, indicating a slight shift in tourism motivations.
