According to statistics from the Statistical Office of the Slovak Republic, Slovakia welcomed 5.7 million visitors in 2023, with Bratislava, Žilina, and Prešov attracting nearly 3.7 million of them, accounting for 64.3% of the total visitor count.

According to the latest data from the Statistical Office of the Slovak Republic, in 2023, Slovakia welcomed 5.7 million visitors. The three regions that attracted the most visitors were Bratislava, Žilina, and Prešov, with nearly 3.7 million people visiting these areas. This accounted for 64.3% of the total visitor count. This trend is consistent with 2019 data, where these regions also attracted over 62.3% of visitors. In terms of accommodation, 5-star and 4-star hotels were the preferred choice among tourists in 2023, making up over 34.5% of all selected accommodations.
