The preferred destinations for Croatian travelers vary depending on the type of trip. For international travel, cities are the top choice, accounting for 31.5% of all trips. Meanwhile, seaside locations attract the most tourists within Croatia, representing 39.9% of all trips. These same destinations also lead in terms of overnight stays and expenditures. Interestingly, this trend remains consistent even when compared to pre-pandemic data: 31.3% of international trips focus on cities, while 34.9% of domestic trips center around seaside destinations. More detailed data is available in the Croatian Bureau of Statistics public database, allowing users to select specific variables for their research.
