In May 2024, the Central Statistical Bureau of Latvia reported a monthly net occupancy rate of 39.8% for bed places across Latvia, with Riga specifically achieving a rate of 54.8%. The highest occupancy rates are typically seen in July or August. In 2023, Latvia saw over 2.4 million tourist arrivals and hosted 4.4 million overnight stays, reflecting a 12.0% increase from 2022. However, these figures are still below pre-COVID levels, with arrivals down by 14.6% and total nights spent down by 20.7% compared to 2019.
