The European Greenways Association (EGWA), in collaboration with Basquetour and the Fundación de los Ferrocarriles Españoles, has announced the call for candidacies for the 12th European Greenways Award. It aims to promote best practices in greenways and support their replication across Europe. It focuses on three categories: Excellence awards for exemplary greenways, Exemplary initiatives related to greenways, and a Special award for actions contributing to green transition and Sustainable Development. Applications must be submitted via the forms provided on the website by May 21, 2025, with the awards ceremony scheduled for 9 October 2025 in the Basque Country, Spain.
