AccessibleEU, a flagship initiative of the European Union, will host a hybrid event—both in Brussels and online—on 3 July 2025. The event aims to reflect on recent progress, exchange best practices, and prepare for the transformative impact of the European Accessibility Act (EAA), which came into force in June 2025.

The event’s key objectives are to:

  • Celebrate achievements in accessibility
  • Raise awareness about the EAA
  • Encourage dialogue and collaboration
  • Inspire continued efforts towards a more inclusive European Union

The programme will feature four thematic panels, aligned with the core areas of AccessibleEU and the EAA:

  • Products and ICT
  • Transport
  • Services – Part 1: Banking, e-commerce, and e-books
  • Services – Part 2: Telecommunications, audiovisual media services (AVMS), and emergency services
  • Additional topics will include public procurement and the built environment

The event is designed for a diverse audience, including representatives from EU institutions, national authorities, the private sector, civil society organisations, accessibility experts, and researchers.

The venue is fully accessible, and the event will offer English captioning and International Sign interpretation. Participation is free of charge, but registration is required.
