The Hessian Ministry for Economic Affairs, Energy, Transport, Housing and Rural Areas offers funding to support regional development through tourism in the German state of Hesse. The programme aims to strengthen the region by promoting high-quality, innovative tourism and leisure infrastructure, as well as services that enhance the visitor experience. Eligible entities include municipalities, associations, and public institutions. Funding is provided as a grant of up to 50-60% of eligible costs, and covers both public infrastructure and tourism services such as marketing, accessibility improvements, and destination planning. Applications must be submitted before the start of the project via the WIBank portal (The original piece available only in German).
