According to Dagens industri, Karlstad is set to revolutionise its transport system. The city is making significant investments to enhance its infrastructure and mobility by expanding its network of cycle paths, express bus lines, and constructing a new travel centre. This travel centre, a significant project, will feature new platforms, a cycle path, a new bus solution, and a pedestrian and cycle tunnel, with completion expected by 2028/2029. Additionally, in the past year, the city expanded its cycle path network by four kilometres to bridge gaps and foster a more cohesive network that connects city districts to the city centre.
