The community links stakeholders at destination level with wider European developments, namely the European Tourism Data Space, the European Competence Centre and the Pact for Skills. It is meant to provide practical guidelines and training opportunities, and to help tourism actors build the capabilities needed to use data-related tools.

For smaller destinations and SMEs, the main value is a single point of entry to EU-level data initiatives that are otherwise spread across several projects. It follows earlier FACILITATE work on a stakeholder needs survey and builds on the groundwork of the D3HUB and DEPLOYTOUR projects.
