Speaking near Le Porge, where a major wildfire destroyed hundreds of homes, Prime Minister Sébastien Lecornu announced tax breaks for affected businesses of all sizes. The government also approved €12 million to help municipalities relocate residents whose homes were destroyed.

Around 40,000 businesses and 200,000 jobs in the Gironde region have reportedly been affected by the disruption. Tourism has been among the sectors facing significant losses as a result of the fires.
