According to Travel Tomorrow, the International Civil Aviation Organization (ICAO) is proposing a new digital travel credential that could eliminate the need for physical boarding passes and check-in processes. This initiative, described by The Times as aviation's "biggest shake-up in 50 years," would allow passengers to store passport details on their electronic devices and download a "journey pass" when booking flights. The system aims to streamline airport procedures and enhance travel efficiency.
