According to Travel Tomorrow, Christian Estrosi, the Mayor of Nice, has announced plans to prohibit large cruise ships from docking along the Nice Côte d’Azur coastline starting 1 July 2025. The proposed measures include banning ships longer than 190 metres and those carrying more than 900 passengers. This initiative aims to address overtourism and reduce the environmental impact of these 'floating hotels.'
