According to Travel Tomorrow, a Swiss aviation initiative is bringing sustainable flights closer to reality. The Climate Impulse project, led by Swiss explorer and physicist Bertrand Piccard to fly a two-seater aircraft around the world in nine days using clean or 'green' hydrogen as fuel, has advanced towards realisation, as detailed in a press event in France on 13 February 2025. Although the project faces numerous challenges and the pioneering flight is not anticipated until 2028, the goal is to demonstrate its feasibility, thereby encouraging others to pursue similar efforts.
