The New Nordic project, operating under the Interreg Central Baltic programme, seeks to rejuvenate tourism in areas affected by a decline in Russian visitors by targeting high-end markets such as the UK, USA, and Japan.

Running from May 2025 to April 2028, with Savonlinna Development Services Ltd. as the lead partner, the initiative focuses on developing innovative tourism products and fostering cross-border collaboration. This strategic effort aims to bolster the economic resilience of Baltic destinations and SMEs by increasing exports and forming robust networks with tourism and transport partners.
