World Tourism Day 2025, taking place on 27 September, will highlight tourism as a driver of sustainable, inclusive, and resilient transformation. The leading conference, "Tourism and Sustainable Transformation," will be held in Melaka, Malaysia, from September 27 to 29, with a focus on the role of tourism in achieving long-term economic, social, and environmental sustainability.
At the same time, events are being organised around the globe. According to the UN Tourism platform, at least four events in Europe have already been confirmed, and more are expected to follow. From workshops and forums to cultural initiatives, these celebrations demonstrate how World Tourism Day is more than a single gathering – it is a worldwide movement bringing together communities and travellers to shape a more sustainable future for tourism.
