In Belgium, the certification CERTA (CErtified Travel Agent) exists since 2018 in Wallonia and has been supported by the region. As of 2022, the label has been revised, developed on national level and contains 17 criteria. A sustainability pilar has been added in collaboration with the international well known Travelife company, creating the CERTA Green. Supports are being received from Belgian business/trade associations around the countries and is promoting quality, awaireness, countinous trainings amongst travel agents and tour operators. Our goal in 2024 is to reach 100+ labelled organizers out of which 40+ Ceta Green participants. We believe that the sector need to be supported in their transition to maintain the quality and professionalism.
