Catalonia will soon be launching the "Tourism for All" programme with the intention of creating and promoting a network of Catalan entities and companies involved in accessibility. The programme falls under 4 pillars:
- Training
- Self-diagnosis of the companies themselves based on adapted structures and adapted services
- Certification
- Promotion
Up until now, the project included specific experiences (cultural, sports, nature...) distributed throughout the territory that could prove the accessibility of their entire value chain. The strategy is now more global and involves ensuring that all the territorial tourism brands of Catalonia are accessible throughout their value chain, no longer only for people with reduced mobility, but for people with all kinds of functional diversity. We are already defining the system for diagnosing the situation, in order to then monitor the progressive processes of improving accessibility with the aim of being able to count on an integrally accessible destination.
Target: The ambition of Catalonia is to recover the leadership we had as accessible destination, by having all the region certified as a Tourism for All Destination by 2030.
