CURRENT ACTIONS:
ETC believes that the joys of travel should be accessible to all, regardless of their gender, sexual orientation, country of origin or religion.
As of 2024, ETC has partnered with Queer Destinations, a pioneering organisation which works with destinations to improve the visitor experience for LGBTQ+ travellers through education and awareness programmes. ETC’s executive unit took part in a seminar aimed at raising awareness for the challenges faced by LGBT+ travellers and how we can be more inclusive in our operations.
FUTURE ACTIONS:
ETC is looking forward to future collaborations with Queer Destinations to make Europe a more inclusive destination for LGBT+ travellers.
Through this partnership, we are able to offer ETC members access to QD’s training programme at a discounted rate. We will encourage our members to undergo the training and implement its recommendations in their destination.
OUTPUT:
Encourage members to undergo a training programme to become more LGBT+ friendly.
We will also work with QD on future marketing or awareness campaigns focussed on improving accessibility for LGBT+ visitors to Europe.
TIME:
Encouraging members to improve inclusivity for LGBT+ travellers is an ongoing project. We anticipate collaborative projects with QD to improve access for LGBT+ visitors in the coming years.
