Creating an integrated electronic destination management system
In order to expand and improve tourism in the Harghita county, Harghita Community Development Association has decided to invest in tools that support the development of regional tourism. On this segment, the aim is to invest in two directions, one focused on end users (tourists) and one focused on destinations (tourist locations). After the analyses carried out within the company, the management decided to involve external consultants for structuring the business requirements, identifying the risk aspects and highlighting them, as well as developing an evaluation algorithm through which to identify the solution that is closest to the organizational needs.
The tourist plays a crucial role in using and benefiting from such an app. Here are some ways in which the tourist can contribute to the operation and success of such an app:
1. Destination search and selection: The tourist can use the app to search and choose the right destination according to personal preference, budget, travel period and other criteria. They can use the filters and search options to find destinations that match their needs.
2.Trip planning: The app can allow travelers to create itineraries book transport and accommodation, download offline maps, and create personalized itineraries, schedule activities according to their interests. Tourists can use the app to organize their trip in detail.
3. Get useful information: Tourists can use the app to access important information about the destination, such as weather data, local currency, sights, safety recommendations and more. They can also get information about local events, restaurants, shops and other entertainment options.
4. Feedback and evaluation: After the trip is over, tourists can provide feedback and evaluate their experience with the app. This feedback can be useful for other tourists and destination managers to improve services.
The target date for achieving the results is 2026.
