The Institute of Tourism Studies (ITS) is Malta's main educational institution for hospitality and tourism. The ITS is a member of the Pact for Skills aiming at ensuring the right skills for jobs, initiatives to support people in their lifelong learning pathways, and a framework to unlock investments in skills.
The setting up of the ITS Training School is the primary contribution of ITS in light of the Pact for Skills agenda. The Training School provides off-the-shelf and bespoke training to the industry and general public aiming to address the skills gap and enhance the skill sets within the hospitality and tourism related sectors. Thus the agenda of upskilling and reskilling is the core business of the training school.
The Training School was launched on the 23 February 2023 and is already running and reaching training agreements with the industry.
Feedback from trainees show a 4.85 out of 5 rating for our delivered training programmes and short courses. 98% of respondents rated our training as good or very good; 98% agree that trainers exhibited good training skills; 90.2% agree that training material was the right level of complexity for the trainees’ background; and 90.2% agree that length and pace of training was appropriate.
Information about the ITS Training School is available from trainingschool.its.edu.mt and can be contacted on trainingschool@its.edu.mt
