Through the DERTOUR Foundation, established in 2014, DERTOUR promotes awareness of funding possibilities by showcasing concrete examples of successful projects in sustainable tourism development. The Foundation has supported 112 projects across 29 countries, focusing on education, environmental conservation, and wildlife protection.
By working transparently with local NGOs and international partners, it demonstrates how targeted funding can create lasting positive impact — from hospitality training to protecting endangered species and preserving natural habitats. 90-100 % of donations are allocated to project work, ensuring every contribution directly supports initiatives that empower local communities and promote self-reliance. By communicating these funding models and their outcomes, DERTOUR encourages other tourism stakeholders to engage in similar efforts and leverage available support for sustainable transformation.
