The survey, led by project partner Rezero, targets hotels, restaurants, cafés, bars, beach facilities and catering services, asking about current use of single-use items like cutlery, cups, bottles and food packaging, procurement costs, and willingness to take part in future low-plastic initiatives. Selected businesses are also being interviewed in more depth, alongside consultations with local waste management companies to understand existing infrastructure and seasonal pressures specific to island contexts.

The results will establish a baseline for the project and directly shape its next steps, expected to include reusable alternatives, staff training, and awareness campaigns tailored to what the data actually shows. As of now, results have not yet been published.
