The NeutralPath project, funded by the European Union, aims to support cities in their transition to climate neutrality by developing Positive and Clean Energy Districts (PCEDs) in five cities: Dresden, Zaragoza, Istanbul, Ghent, and Vantaa. Dresden and Zaragoza will act as lighthouse cities, demonstrating innovative solutions like geothermal energy and advanced insulation techniques. Running from January, 2023, to December, 2027, the project also involves setting up Climate-Neutral Labs (CN-Labs) to foster local collaboration and co-design efficient, climate-friendly solutions. By promoting scalable and replicable strategies, NeutralPath contributes to the broader European mission of achieving 100 climate-neutral cities by 2030.
