The Smart Tour project, part of the recently approved projects under the Interreg Europe programme, is scheduled to launch on 1 May 2025. It aims to develop and promote policies on 'Smart Tourism' and 'Smart Destinations' to address new challenges and demands in a rapidly changing sector, contributing to a Smarter Europe.

The Smart Tour project, funded by the Interreg Europe programme, aims to develop and promote policies on Smart Tourism (ST) and Smart Destinations (SDs) to address emerging challenges and evolving demands in the rapidly changing tourism industry. Running from May 2025 to July 2029, the project focuses on integrating digitalisation aspects of ST and SDs into strategies and policies of the partners' tourist destinations, including Greece, Cyprus, France, Germany, Hungary, Romania, Italy, Ukraine, and Bosnia and Herzegovina. The main expected outcome is the development of ST and SD policies, contributing to a smarter Europe, in line with the EU's Transition Pathway for Tourism (TPT) and its co-implementation framework.
