The Nordic Swan Ecolabel, managed by Nordic Ecolabelling, is an environmental certification that supports the tourism industry in the Nordics in adopting more sustainable practices. It aims to reduce the environmental footprint of services by setting high standards for energy efficiency, waste reduction, water conservation, and chemical use.

For tourism businesses — particularly accommodation providers, event organisers, and food services and conference facilities — the label offers a clear framework to improve sustainability across operations. The certification provides support including expert guidance throughout the process, helping companies identify the most impactful areas for environmental improvement, strengthening market positioning, and boosting credibility with both customers and partners.

Applications are accepted via the Nordic Ecolabelling Portal, without an exact deadline.
