The Austrian Ecolabel, published by the Federal Ministry for Climate Action, Environment, Energy, Mobility, Innovation and Technology, supports the certification of environmentally friendly products, services, and organisations. It aims to promote sustainable practices and improve environmental performance across sectors, including tourism, education, and manufacturing. Eligible entities include businesses, schools, and tourism providers that meet specific ecological and quality criteria. Certification is based on comprehensive guidelines that consider the entire life cycle of products and services, including resource use, emissions, and recyclability. The programme's environmental award provides valuable recognition that can enhance market competitiveness and further access to green funding.
